ABOUT ANDREW B.

Before delving into my story, it\'s important to share why I\'ve pursued this path. The core of my professional journey lies a commitment to enhancing communication and helping others discover a sense of purpose. My passion for leadership and mentorship was rooted in an unexpected place—my eighth-grade fascination with 1980s action films. Larger-than-life icons: Stallone, Schwarzenegger, and Eastwood shaped my early aspirations. Inspired by their portrayals of strength, resilience, and determination, I set my sights on becoming a real-world action hero. That inspiration led me to enlist in the U.S. Army, driven by characters like Rambo, elite soldiers of Predator, and the gritty leadership seen in Heartbreak Ridge. Though my path never crossed the silver screen, it led to something more profound—a distinguished 30-year military career, including assignments in the 10th Mountain Division, the 82nd Airborne Division, and graduation from the prestigious Ranger School. My service culminated in Special Operations, where I found my true calling in leadership. As an officer, I had the privilege of leading small, high-performing teams in remote and austere environments. These roles required strategic planning, decisive action, and effective crisis management—often under tight timelines and constrained resources. It was here my inner “action hero” found fulfillment through real-world impact. My passion for mentoring emerged while serving as an instructor at a Ranger academic facility in North Carolina. In that environment, I developed a love for teaching and guiding others toward their potential. This passion deepened when I earned my Green Beret and served in Army Special Forces, where I trained and advised foreign leaders in strategic planning and operational execution.Throughout my career, I embraced roles pushing my boundaries: leadership, supervision, program and operations management, international relations, crisis response, and fiscal oversight. I became known for developing and communicating clear, actionable strategies aligned with budgetary realities—skills carried through each assignment and shaped my professional identity. In the spring of 2023, I transitioned into a new chapter, one focused on continued growth and service in a different capacity. Pursuing my MBA, with a commencement in 2025, represents both a personal milestone and a professional evolution. According to the Gallup StrengthsFinder, my top strengths—Context, Activator, Focus, Discipline, and Self-Assurance—have been key drivers in my journey and will continue to shape my path forward.
