ABOUT ANDREW HOOPER

I am a senior learning & development professional with nearly 30 years\' experience in the post-16 Further Education and Skills sector, 20 of which have been working as part of senior management teams in colleges and private training organisations throughout South East England and London. During this time I have held strategic responsibility for most aspects of learning provider operations. My foremost experience is in developing and managing work-based learning and Apprenticeships though it also includes- Business Planning and Development- Marketing & Sales- Employer Engagement- Partnership Development- Relationship Management- Curriculum Management- Quality Assurance (including substantial Ofsted experience)- Internal AuditI also have extensive experience of- Implementing change and restructuring- Project and contract management- Financial managementIn 2014 I co-founded Boom Training in partnership with an equally experienced colleague. Boom Training is proving to be highly successful and aims to be externally recognised as an outstanding provider both in terms of the quality of the learning we provide for our apprentices and the service we provide our employer clients.I provide particular specialist support and advice to employers affected by the Apprenticeship Levy. We have significant experience of the Apprenticeship reforms and are ahead of the curve in terms of both helping organisations secure maximum value from their levy contributions and in implementing the new Apprenticeship standards which make the training programmes themselves completely different (and more employer focussed) from the old \'frameworks\'.
