In July 2014, I was promoted to the position of Advocacy & Membership Coordinator. In this role I: Promote the organization to current and potential members. Actively recruit potential members and identifies marketing strategies to attract new member interest. Work closely with current members to improve retention and promote the major return on investment that membership brings. Assist staff and industry leaders with legislative activities. Develop legislative publications for use in promoting engineering interests. Lobby political leaders on legislative issues relating to engineering in Wisconsin. Oversee the ACEC WI Engineering Excellence Awards Manage professional development events such as the Transportation Improvement Conference. Collaborate with staff and members on the use and promotion of ACEC Wisconsin\'s digital profile.I began in January 2014 as the ACEC WI Legislative Assistant. In that role I: Developed legislative publications for use in promoting engineering interests. Kept tabs on legislation in state government and the activities of other lobbyist organizations. Handled daily office operations. Oversaw the development and maintenance of ACEC Wisconsin\'s online resources.
