As Health Catalyst’s first professional designer, I established and grew the company’s UX practice over a decade, shaping design culture, systems, and teams from the ground up. My work has spanned design systems, enterprise products, marketing platforms, and industry events — all with the goal of creating clarity in complex healthcare technology.Key achievements:• Founded and led Cashmere, Health Catalyst’s open-source design system. Served as both creative lead and primary engineering contributor, building the Angular component library and driving adoption across all major products. Expanded Cashmere to support BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and React.•. Built and scaled Health Catalyst’s first centralized UX team, growing to 10 designers covering the entire product portfolio. Mentored designers at all levels and elevated design maturity across the organization.• Led the overhaul of HealthCatalyst.com, migrating from WordPress to Webflow, saving $200K annually, and co-leading a company-wide rebrand. Directed all digital design for Marketing, supported by a team of three.•. Designed and prototyped flagship products, conducting in-person usability testing with clinicians and guiding teams through adoption of Cashmere.•. Directed digital experience for the Healthcare Analytics Summit, including custom conference apps and a fully virtual conference platform built during COVID.
