   I am a Partner in the Firm\'s commercial litigation department, focused on contract, trade secrets, real estate, business, employment, class action and land use litigation.Defeated class action lawsuit asserting RICO civil conspiracy, mail and wire fraud, FDCPA, and UCL claims (California Business & Professions Code § 17200). Plaintiffs sought certification of nation-wide class and treble damages. Venued in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, case involved high-stakes first-impression issues involving the residential mortgage loan servicing industry. Defeated case on dispositive motion. Defeated class action lawsuit venued in the Northern District of California, which asserted novel legal theories under California’s Usury Law and UCL against major financial services company. Case dismissed with prejudice on pre-certification dispositive motion. Lead counsel for several business and industry association amicus curiae in the California State Lands Commission\'s lawsuit against the City of San Francisco in the San Francisco Superior Court over the legality of Proposition B (\"No Wall on the Waterfront\"​) in light of the California Public Resources Code.Member of trial team which obtained complete defense victory after three week jury trial in bet-the-company patent litigation in the Northern District of California federal court.Lead attorney in defense of wrongful termination and California Labor Code claims in the Northern District of California. After eliciting damaging admissions from plaintiff at deposition, obtained dismissal of all claims on eve of summary judgment for nominal settlement amount which was less than cost of remaining defense.
