Through its subsidiaries around the globe, Encore purchases or services portfolios of receivables from major banks, credit unions and utility providers. Through its domestic subsidiary, Midland Credit Management, Inc, with sites in the U.S, India and Costa Rica, and its European subsidiary, Cabot Credit Management, which is a market-leading acquirer and manager of consumer debt in the United Kingdom and Ireland and active in several other European markets with bothconsumer and commercial debt recovery, Encore purchases receivables from major creditors and partners with individuals as they work towards financial recovery.In this role, I lead Encore’s legal and internal audit functions and have significant experience in managing complex business disputes, building and maintaining teams of talented legal professional that provide consistent, practical and cost-effective legal services, engaging with government and regulatory affairs and leading the response to significant regulatory matters, supporting compliance and risk functions to help the company reach its business goals and improve the consumer experience, and overseeing the company’s internal audit function.
