ABOUT ANDREW BETHUNE
Andrew is a Master\'s graduate with 10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager and Civil / Structural Engineer within Renewable Energy, Offshore Oil & Gas, Power Transmission and the Built Environment.He has experience supporting developers, contractors, project owners, lenders and investors in the development, construction, operation and due diligence of renewable energy projects.Currently working for ScottishPower Renewables, as Onshore Substation Package Manager, supporting the pre-construction phase of East Anglia ONE North (800MW) & East Anglia TWO (900MW) Offshore Wind farms, responsible for onshore substation and associated onshore infrastructure. He is in the process of completing chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Prior to this role, he worked as a Structural Engineer in the UK Oil & Gas industry, specialising in the operational structural integrity management of mature offshore assets in the North Sea. As a consultant, he worked alongside clients to manage ongoing threats and risks for challenging offshore assets operating beyond their original design life. This required regular offshore structural site surveys, inspections and audits of North Sea assets. He has also worked with a leading specialised firm of consulting fire safety engineers, based in New Zealand, where he gained varied international project experience. In this role, he developed fire engineering and risk consultancy experience across a wide variety of industry sectors and projects.
