Responsible for managing an assigned portfolio of corporate sponsors and attracting private sector investors to the NALEO Educational Fund for programmatic or event-related investment. Provide leadership for generating revenue for Policy Institutes including developing prospect lists, identifying local supporters who can drive new or increased revenue, and creating a fundraising plan to meet and exceed gross revenue targets. Provide support to the operations of the department including donor convenings, special events, yearly planning, and fundraising metrics and tracking. Building a robust portfolio of private industry donors as well as maintaining fruitful relationships with existing corporate funders of the organization’s programs. Contributing to the development of comprehensive sponsorship packages for annual corporate funders, ensuring compliance with the benefits package for each special event, ensuring accurate official acknowledgements, following up after each sponsored event, and maintaining regular communication with the corporate funders throughout the year. Continuously identifying new prospective private sector funders and working closely with the team to cultivate and secure these potential donors; employing creative relationship building strategies, such as networking and leveraging staff and board connections to prospect, cultivate, and manage relationships with corporate contacts; understanding the target audience, applying ideas, thoughts and concepts to successfully develop solicitations that articulate our work; monitoring the status of grant proposals and reports.
