ABOUT ANDREW MARKS
Andrew Marks is a Mechanical Engineer and Project Management Professional with over twenty years of experience in the fields of project delivery, mechanical and process engineering. His focus is on effective project delivery through the application of PMP skills and experience to meet and exceed client expectations and create lasting value.Currently, he is responsible for leading multidisciplinary teams, project planning and execution, client management, risk mitigation, cost and scope control on a variety of chemicals manufacturing projects developed by Worley Chemetics. These projects range from conceptual/FEED to full EPC, EPCM and EPS. His project history spans three decades and five continents, and consist primarily of Sulphuric Acid, Sodium Chlorite, Chlorine Dioxide, HCl, and Chlor-Alkali processing plants and infrastructure. Previous roles include mechanical engineering discipline lead, field inspector, and project engineer. Andrew has experience in equipment and piping design, marine bulk materials handling terminals, and gas and liquid hydrocarbon pipeline systems. He is familiar with specification, procurement, inspection, and installation of plant equipment with local and international vendors. Andrew is also involved with the preparation of estimates and proposals for engineering projects. With over eight years of on-site experience, Andrew is very familiar with following and enforcing site safety protocols, coordinating project activities with operations and maintenance teams, and construction management inside and outside of major plant turnarounds. These brownfield and greenfield sites are located in British Columbia, Ontario and Indonesia.In 2005, Andrew took a two year sabbatical from his engineering career to explore a diploma in commercial animation at Capilano University. As an avid musician of 30+ years, he also plays guitar in numerous bands at local Vancouver venues. Andrew also enjoys riding his e-bike to work and around his community.Andrew lives in North Vancouver, BC with his two young daughters and wife, Jaclyn, with whom he co-owns a boutique graphic design company that serves clients across North America.
