ABOUT ANDREW WARD

I am currently on secondment at UKGI, working in the Special Situations Group (SSG). SSG combines both civil servants and restructuring/insolvency professionals who focus on sectors and corporates where there is a risk of economic shock impact to major assets of national interest or where there is a strategic case for Government intervention by providing support/advice to the relevant Government departments, including HM Treasury. I am on secondment from Kroll Advisory where I worked in the Restructuring Advisory practice which deals with both formal corporate restructuring and advisory work. I have experience relating to the management of a variety of formal insolvency appointments including Administrations (including trading), CVL\'s, CVA\'s and solvent Liquidations. In addition I have experience working with a variety of key stakeholders and providing advice on turnaround options ranging from running AMA processes, fund raising through to contingency planning and cash flow management.Whilst I have worked with a wide range of clients and across a variety of sectors, my sector specialisations include healthcare and haulage. I hold an LL.B (Hons) Law degree, am a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and have also completed both the Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency (CPI) and the Certificate of Proficiency in Personal Insolvency (CPPI). I am currently studying towards sitting my JIEB qualification.
