ABOUT ANDREW VONTZALIDES
Working in refugee resettlement in the United States and internationally to help provide short-term assistance and long-term social integration of migrant populations. Currently working at the International Institute of New England as their lead case manager for the federal Trafficking Victims Assistance Program. Serves as USCRI\'s person of contact with IINE regarding family reunification cases filed with the Central American Minors Program. Strong communicator with solid cultural competencies and an academic understanding of migration and its causes in Latin America.One of a handful of TVAP case managers in New England, a program that helps connect recent trafficking victims to public benefits, financial assistance, medical care, housing assistance etc. Manages monthly budgets exceeding to provide assistance to clients and cover case management costs at IINE. Carries out communication between the US Committee for Refugees and Immigrants and clients who have filed cases for their minor children in Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras.Has previously worked in Bogotá, Colombia to design an immigration services directory for the Venezuelan migrant population. Prior to this, did two years of volunteer work in Worcester, Massachusetts with refugee and immigrant populations.
