About Andrew Thurlow
Journalist turned loan officer, Andrew Thurlow spent several years in Detroit and Florida covering sports, real estate and automotive news before joining the financial industry. In 2018, Thurlow was recruited by Quicken Loans, where he secured his federal and state licenses to originate mortgages under the Secure and Fair Enforcement Act.He joined loanDepot in early 2019, and earned a senior loan officer position the same year. He placed in the top 10 percentile based on origination efficiency and funding volume. The following summer, Thurlow joined AmeriSave Mortgage Corp, where he consistently placed top-five in overall production and funded-volume rankings. In 2022, he finished second in company-wide YTD fundings. He currently works as a Branch Manager at West Capital Lending in Plano, TX, collaborating with partners such as Rocket Mortgage, Kind Lending, Newrez Wholesale and PennyMac, among others. Thurlow graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from Wayne State University in December 2012.
