In 2013 a friend of mine who sells payroll asked if I could help correct errors their previous fly-by-night provider created. That one request slowly turned into 10 by the end of 2015, 25 by the end of 2016, and 50 for year-end 2017. Now, in 2023, Forensic Payroll Consultants is a full-time operation that has grown to process projects per year while supporting myself and a staff dedicated to helping payroll and accounting professionals correct errors made by previous companies. FPC is payroll agnostic which means we can correct issues originally created on other platforms. There is no other company in the United States specifically dedicated to working with ANY payroll service provider, payroll sales person, CPA, Accountant, Enrolled Agent, Bookkeeper, Tax Attorney, in-house Payroll/HR team, or business owner to correct errors and resolve discrepancies made in the past by a previous provider. Here is a list of the services we provide: • Audit of previously filed payroll tax returns • Filing of delinquent payroll tax returns • Creation of back payrolls • Coordinate payment of late payroll tax deposits • New state and local payroll tax ID registrations • Closure of state and local payroll tax IDs • Payroll due diligence and compliance for mergers and acquisitions (either forensically or future) • Developing payroll procedures for an in-house payroll team.
