About Andrew Sylling

Upon graduation from the University of Notre Dame in 2004, I was commissioned into the United States Marine Corps and served 8 years as a Logistics Officer, including an overseas deployment with the Fleet Marine Forces; training, leadership development, and operations management with Officer Candidates School; and executive administration in Headquarters Marine Corps. In every assignment I occupied roles designated for more senior officers and was a three-time recipient of the Navy & Marine Corps Commendation Medal for superior performance. In 2012, I transitioned to the Fast Moving Consumer Goods industry with Unilever\'s North American Supply Chain, holding multiple roles of increasing responsibility in Customer Service, Transportation, Warehousing, and Logistics Operations. Unilever was recently awarded the Masters of Supply Chain ranking by Gartner in 2019 for being in the top 5 for 7 out of the last 10 years, ranked #1 from 20••••18. I have directly managed teams up to 70 people and had dotted line responsibility for over people across in 10+ separate departments. I have been accountable for $30M+ in equipment and taught courses of academic instruction up to 300+ students. I have led 1:1 with direct reports, managed 40+ peers, and influenced up to the C-Suite of both a military service branch and a Fortune Global 200 CPG. I have diverse experience across operations, safety, human resources, project management, continuous improvement, learning and development, logistics, and much more. My purpose is to dive deep and make it right so my team can fly high.
