About Andrew Strope

As the Deputy Superintendent of Indianapolis Public Schools (IPS), I am responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, portfolio, and external affairs functions of the largest public school district in Indiana. With more than 15 years of experience in finance and education, I bring a unique combination of skills and knowledge to support the district\'s mission of providing high-quality and equitable learning opportunities for all students. In my previous roles as Chief of Staff and Chief Strategy and Planning Officer at IPS, I also contributed to the development and execution of the district\'s strategic plan, vision, and goals, as well as the management and coordination of internal and external stakeholders. I am passionate about transforming public education and empowering students, teachers, and families to achieve their full potential. I hold a Master\'s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Harvard University and a Bachelor\'s and Master\'s degree in Accounting and Finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I am also skilled in financial analysis, data-driven decision making, and change management.
