ABOUT ANDREW SMITH
I run a technology company that I co-founded whilst undertaking my PhD. My expertise and research focusses on the development of computational flood models. More specifically, my work has focussed on climate change risk modelling and modelling floods over large scales. Alongside my role as COO at Fathom, I am also an active research scientist publishing in these fields. Our aim when we formed Fathom was to make leading research available to as many people as possible and allow them to make risk informed decisions. This is now becoming a reality. I am enthusiastic and energetic, which it is hard not to be working in such a young and innovative space. Our growing team is having a positive and meaningful impact and I thoroughly enjoying telling the world about what we do.I feel incredibly lucky to have met and worked with my colleagues and peers. I also feel very privileged to be leading the team at Fathom.
