About Andrew Sleger

I focus on working hard to improve native habitats. Healthy ecosystems function to provide a host of benefits to modern society, not to mention their aesthetic beauty. I like working with people and educating the general public on the importance of biodiversity. I like managing degraded sites into gorgeous restorations. I want to create more public demand for native ecosystems. A good start to the process is describing how well-functioning ecosystems recharge groundwater, mitigate flooding, reduce runoff and sedimentation, improve fisheries, enhance fertility, provide habitat, and are generally pretty. I strive to educate people about the links between natural lands and the human landscape. The continued success of the human race is directly related to our fostering of native ecosystems.
