Roles include project management, detailed engagement with technology providers, government & regulators, techno-economic and risk assessments of projects, as well as technical due diligence and trouble-shooting services for investors, technology providers and public bodies in the sector. Key project include: • HyNet North West, Interface Manager CCS & Hydrogen (Ongoing) I manage the technical aspects of the interface on CCS and Hydrogen elements of HyNet. This includes any carbon capture plants planning to connect into the HyNet CO2 Transport and Storage network. I also manage the interface between the Hydrogen supply, Hydrogen Pipeline Network and the Hydrogen Storage facility. • HyNet North West, Industrial Fuel Switching (Complete) Project and technical lead for a FEED study on a Hydrogen Fired Combined Heat and Power Plant to deliver 75MWe & tpd Steam at the Essar Stanlow refinery. Technical support on Hydrogen firing demonstration on a 5MWth gas fired steam boiler and a 50MWth direct fired glass furnace. • HyNet North West, Hydrogen Fuel Supply (Complete) Feasibility stage development of a 50MWe Hydrogen fired Combined Cycle Power Plant to supply electricity to the Hydrogen Supply Plant under development and another local large energy consumer. • HyNet North West, Carbon Capture Energy from Waste (Complete) Acted as Owners Engineer for the feasibility and Pre-FEED stage on a 1 million tonne per annum carbon capture plant. Assessment of carbon capture technology suppliers and day-to-day management of four feasibility studies providers to recommend and select the optimal solution to be taken forward to FEED study. This included writing the technical elements of the BEIS cluster sequencing submissions, for which this EfW plant has been successful through both phase 1 and 2.
