Leading the transition to a smart flexible network - facilitating low carbon generation, electrification of transport and heat to deliver our low carbon future.A respected leader in power distribution with 20 years in the electricity industry. A proven track record of leading and delivering major business change projects and developing new business streams in power. These include transformation from a centralised, functional model to a locally delivered business model in Western Power Distribution, leading the design and implementation of an Alliance organisation and contracts for planned works in Central Networks, and leading the design and successful implementation of SAP computer system for condition based asset management and capital projects. A Chartered Electrical Engineer, member of the IET, with significant experience in planning capital and maintenance programmes from development of the investment strategy to programme detail, systems for monitoring delivery and engaging stakeholders at relevant stages.Holds a Certificate in Management Studies and was selected for E.ON Emerging leaders talent pool whilst in E.ON Central Networks which included international workshops in Germany and Business Modules at London Business School in Strategy, Finance and Decison making. Advocates the 2010 Future - Engage - Deliver Leadership programme run in E.ON.In his earlier career was a Senior Authorised Person carrying out maintenance, construction and connection on the Midlands Electricity network and later designing schemes from LV to 132kV.
