I am a Lead Scientist working on a number of projects utilising molecular-based diagnostic assays within the infectious disease business unit of Revvity. Whilst predominantly focused on tuberculosis (TB) diagnostics, I am leading a team developing and evaluating new platforms that can be used as gateway technologies for the use in adjacent infectious diseases. The projects I am leading / I have led, include direct identification of TB from liquid biopsy samples, as well as investigating and validating host transcriptomic biomarkers for active TB. This included testing the device in clinical evaluation studies, ensuring the correct samples were collected (patient recruitment) and maintaining the clinical study site.Previously, I was Technical Lead, and core team member, on the development, validation and subsequent launch of a new liquid handling instrument, the Auto-Pure 2400, to automate the Revvity\'s T-SPOT assay; a IVD test for the diagnosis of latent TB. To achieve this, I successfully worked cross-functionally with internal departments (including Regulatory, Quality, PMO), as well as with our external stakeholders.Post launch, the Auto-Pure 2400 instrument successfully achieved FDA approval.I have consistently worked to, and have a good understanding of, ISO 13458 standards and QMS. Additionally, I have experience of working to CLSI guidelines for infectious disease diagnostics.
