In 2004, after a lengthy business search process, I found Glide Rite and acquired it with the financial support of a group of 24 investors that I assembled. I worked as Glide Rite’s CEO from a point when checks were handwritten and computers weren’t used much. From that humble beginning, we became a technology leader, not just in our trades, but in vendor services in general. Technology served as a significant accelerator for operational efficiency, information management and customer satisfaction. We built our own proprietary ERP system from the ground up starting with work order management, and expanding over time into all facets of the business. The resulting data and operational fluidity really helps us and our customers. Through reporting and analytics, we gain insights that drive high levels of service and customer satisfaction. Real-time dashboards and mobile field applications allow for timely corrective action which improves customer satisfaction and lowers costs.My other focus as CEO was to build the best management team that we could. Our team and technology powered Glide Rite forward to 1,100% growth during my tenure as CEO. Our success in growing market share and profitability positioned the company for a very successful liquidity event in which we became a division of Kept Companies, a national multi-service vendor company which is more than 10 times the size of Glide Rite.Since Kept Companies acquired GlideRite in 2022, I continue as a Customer Liaison, leveraging 20 years of success in building Glide Rite together with the additional resources of Kept Companies for the benefit or our customers. The operational capacity brought to us by Kept allows me to focus solely on our customers to support their satisfaction and success. Our full national footprint, with 122 warehouse locations and a field crew team which exceeds 1,500 technicians in multiple trades, significantly expands the value that we provide to our customers.
