I have recently lead the rollout of Meraki MX security devices for a company migrating their on premises servers to the cloud. The company moved away from another vendors firewalls to Meraki. I configured the equipment and had them deployed at the 20+sites around the UK and Ireland. The equipment installed included MX68 security devices MG21E 4G back up devices and MX95 security devices, the mx95s were set up a redundancy with 2 at each site - one of which was a warm spare. There was also an Azure vMX Meraki device installed for the new VPN termination point.

Over the last 10 years I have worked for some of the larger corporate IT companies in N Ireland. This has helped develop my understanding in the importance of ITIL service desk management. In most of my roles I have been in a supporting role. This would include onsite work, but mostly remote fault finding and planned changes using change management. All of my roles have involved speaking to the end user to understand the problem better, working closely with other teams within the company to help isolate the issues, speaking to 3rd party suppliers of services like MPLS or ADSl provisions. Working within SLA\'s myself and keeping the 3rd parties with in their SLA\'s has been another important part of my job.I have a good working knowledge of corporate wireless, IP CCTV and IPTV equipment.I currently have a Cisco CCNP Security and have a good knowledge of switching, routing and firewalls. I have worked with Cisco ASA, Netscreen and Sonicwall firewalls mainly but I have also done some work on Checkpoint and Draytek.I also have experence with point to point data links in the 5GHz and 60Ghz bands.My hobbies include amateur radio ( I have had a licence for about 25 years now) and building quadcopters from the components and flying them. I have a good understanding of radio, electronics and electronic principles. My ONC and HNC in Micro Electronics were completed around 19••••94
