About Andrew Piper

Andrew\'s career in information technology began in San Francisco at UCSF’s Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, where he supported a Nobel Prize-winning facility. Immersed in a fast-paced, research-driven environment, Andrew developed a deep appreciation for technology’s power to solve problems and support innovation. From managing large-scale projects to streamlining complex systems, this early experience sparked a passion that would shape his career.​After relocating to New York City, Andrew continued to expand his expertise while working in IT for an academic publishing company. His growing interest in helping businesses use technology more effectively led him to freelance consulting, and eventually, to founding Focus NY in 2015 — a firm dedicated to IT strategy, cybersecurity, and technology optimization for businesses across NYC.Outside of his work in IT consulting, Andrew enjoys playing music and performs regularly with several local bands. He’s also a proud dog dad to Oakley, his energetic chocolate lab, and loves supporting his daughter as she prepares for college.
