About Andrew Philip
Andrew Philip is a rising junior at Northeastern University, pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a minor in Business Administration. He is passionate about infrastructure development, construction management, and sustainable engineering solutions. Andrew is currently a Site/Civil Engineering Co-op at Langan in their New York City office, where he collaborates with engineers on land development projects, site design, grading, stormwater management, and permitting processes. His work supports real-world civil engineering applications across diverse project sites. Previously, Andrew interned at the Bergen County Department of Planning & Engineering, where he assisted in bridge rehabilitation projects, road paving initiatives, and structural inspections. He also led a department-wide initiative to digitize decades of bridge inspection reports, making them more accessible for engineers and planners. Andrew has additional experience as a Front of House Team Leader at Chick-fil-A, where he developed leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills in a fast-paced environment. Beyond academics and work, Andrew is actively involved in community service and professional organizations. He has volunteered with organizations including St. Stephen’s Orthodox Church, Baranova 27 (Ukraine Humanitarian Relief), Preface Reading & Literacy Project, and Boston Building Resources Warehouse. On campus, he is engaged with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), Engineers Without Borders (EWB), and the Catholic Center Choral Society. In his free time, Andrew enjoys playing sports, singing, and serving as a lead acolyte at his church.
