ABOUT ANDREW NICHOLLS
With 6 years experience as the Global Senior Director of Bioimaging leading multiple teams in both the UK and US, Andy has overseen project decision making for drug discovery and development through application of a range of cellular, tissue and in vivo imaging platforms. He has both personally maintained and encouraged the development of close internal and external collaborative partnerships to drive scientific improvements to support the progression of novel medicines. His current role builds on 10 years of leadership of drug safety groups including the overall leadership of the GSK UK Investigative Safety group. Andy has applied his extensive experience of scientific planning, strategy, and practice and personal leadership skills including coaching/mentoring and project management top achieve year on year growth of imaging application to meet GSK\'s core business needs. Andy has previously been President of the SMASH NMR organization and was a founder/Director of the Metabolic Profiling Forum, a UK organization running the Metabomeeting conference series, where he gained experience in financial management, commercial business planning and company regulation. Andy has over 50 peer-reviewed publications and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC)
