About Andrew Melnyk

My current role as a Staff Production Engineer at Industrial Light & Magic involves building internal applications in React, TypeScript and Python to streamline workflows for VFX artists and production teams. Previously, I was a member of the team that built Disney+ from the ground up. As a Solutions Architect, I guided engineering teams through complicated feature development for projects like live video and ad-supported playback. Other contributions included developing a cross-platform JavaScript SDK for core services like authentication, token management, DRM and more. This experience culminated in a U.S. patent application for a unique framework I developed to simplify the testing and planning process for major feature launches. I\'m passionate about building the tools that help engineering and product teams work more efficiently and deliver great products.
