Andrew is the chief technology office and chief product officer for the ORBCOMM Platform and related applications. Primary objective in this role is to define and execute the strategy that will pivot the company into being a major technology company in the transportation space, building upon the market leading hardware history that leverages an advanced satellite network, robust communications services, state of the art IoT hardware & firmware, and acquired software offers. Integrated into the ORBCOMM platform will be robust API\'s, fully productized AI/ML based, built for purpose applications, and a mobility suite of applications - all with ease of use and a modern user experience.
ABOUT ANDREW MCCLOSKEY
Andrew is a seasoned, energetic technology and operations leader, focused on defining a winning strategy and then executing with high discipline and agility, building leaders in the process. In the last 10+ years, Andrew led the technology and associated global engineering team for highly complex and commercially successful industrial software, directly contributing to the revenue growth from $50M to $1.5B through both organic and inorganic means - all while driving the license shift from perpetual to recurring. He is currently the Chief Technology Officer, a member of the Executive Leadership Team, and Head of Global Engineering for AVEVA Software, which became a FTSE 100 company under his watch. Agile-lean based execution, including definition and implementation of built-in quality, usability and security best practices, have freed up valuable time to focus on customers - resulting in over 150 new patent submissions by the teams Andrew has led at AVEVA alone. This innovation, in combination with a sound technology strategy and execution towards, has provided the company the foundation for its double-digit growth. The innovation is focused on core technologies highly relevant to today\'s customers, namely: artificial intelligence, IoT, cloud & edge, first principles-based simulation, augmented & virtual reality, blockchain, advanced visualization, and more. As a member of AVEVA Executive Leadership Team, Andrew is exposed and contributes to the success of all aspects of a high-performing, large-scale, public technology company. He has held progressively responsible leadership roles since.
