App State’s Flight Path BS in Health Care Management is part of one of the nation’s longest‑certified undergraduate programs by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration (AUPHA), supporting its rigorous curriculum and flexible delivery model. I lead and contribute to courses in-Health System Organization-Managing Healthcare Organizations-Principles of Financial Management -Quality Management-Marketing in Healthcare-Organizational Behavior & Design, and -Professional DevelopmentThe program blends asynchronous eight‑week modules with regular interactive sessions to balance academic depth and learner flexibility. Through faculty‑led mentoring and professional coaching, students develop competencies in analytics, leadership, marketing, and HR directly applicable to real‑world roles in hospitals, clinics, insurance firms, public health, and consulting. Additionally, the online Master of Health Administration online program at App State connects busy professionals with the knowledge and skills to lead health care organizations — without having to relocate. This degree embodies Appalachian’s mission by preparing students to lead purposeful lives as engaged health care executives who are eager to acquire and create knowledge, promote a spirit of inclusion, communicate effectively and think critically. As graduates, students will be prepared to advance their management career in a variety of health care organizations, including, but not limited to, hospitals, long-term care, urgent care, research facilities, mental health, bio-tech organizations and medical health equipment companies.In addition to a strong core curriculum in general health administration, this program, accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Management Education (CAHME), offers two possible areas of focus: health care leadership and health informatics.
