About Andrew McArthur
I am an economic researcher with experience in applied econometrics, environmental and natural resource economics, geospatial modeling, and industrial organization. My work focuses on understanding how firm behavior and regulatory structures affect ecosystems, communities, and marketplaces.Professionally, I’ve built and deployed geospatial and econometric models to analyze PFAS emissions, hydrological dispersion, natural resource damages, disaster impacts on land value, and pollution exposure pathways. I\'ve further applied my skills to measure the economic impacts of industry consolidation and collusive firm behavior. I often integrate large-scale environmental, regulatory, and financial datasets to produce evidence used in litigation and academic settings.I work primarily in R, Stata, and GIS, with additional experience in Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (Databricks, Google Cloud). I’m particularly interested in statistical models of economic firm decision making, spatial econometrics, and interdisciplinary applications that connect environmental toxicology with economic measurements of use and non-use values.
