Honors Earth and Environmental Science, Physical Science instructor. During the 20••••26 academic year, I commenced my studies at Wake Forest University in the widely-regarded Master of Business Administration program, concentrating in Strategy and Leadership. I have placed an emphasis in teaching students how to work in teams, as well as small group \"eyeball to eyeball\" instruction. Additionally, I now participate in school improvement team meetings and continue to co-advise the Kiwanis Club. I also seek out additional leadership opportunites as they arise. During the 20••••25 academic year, I have placed an emphasis in hands-on laboratory work as well as teaching students how to pursue their academic endeavors with a growth mindset. I was also afforded the opportunity to collaborate in the formulation of district level policy for the honors level courses in the science department. I also assumed the role of head tennis coach in May 2024. In my short time in this role, I was able to re-establish the program to varsity competition as well as coach a player to an all-conference honorable mention award. In addition, I assist in advising my school\'s Kiwanis Club.During the 20••••24 academic year, I designed a culminating project website for the honors level Earth and Forensic sciences courses. I was responsible for managing academic portfolios for roughly 75 students per semester. Roughly 80% of students in my classes scored an overall average of B or higher for the semester. Coursework was facilitated through the use of rigorous research based assignments, problem based learning projects, and virtual/hands on laboratory experiments.
