ABOUT ANDREW MARGOLIS
Hi, I\'m Andrew Margolis, an undergraduate Psychology major at the University of Michigan. I’m fascinated by how our biology, environment, and relationships shape development and mental health. Much of my academic work centers on attachment theory, emotion regulation, and psychopathology, with the goal of understanding the mechanisms underlying mental health challenges in youth and adults.Over the years, I’ve served my community across diverse healthcare settings. As a Patient Care Observer at Jacobi Medical Center and Weill Cornell Medicine, I worked alongside clinicians and patients in fast-paced environments, strengthening my understanding of patient care, communication, and the complexity of mental health. Building on this experience, I contribute to a research team investigating Somatic Symptom and Related Disorders, coding and analyzing qualitative data to better understand physician perspectives. At Michigan, I’m also involved with hEARt, a student-led branch of the Crisis Text Line, and am a proud member of Psi Chi, the International Honor Society in Psychology.
