ABOUT ANDREW MAGIS
Andrew Magis is a founding member of Arivale, the Scientific Wellness company that used longitudinal multi-omic data and coaching to help individuals improve their health and reduce their risk for disease. As the Director of Research, Andrew managed Arivale\'s team of scientists and research developers and led the development of the cloud-based infrastructure capable of processing genomic, clinical, metabolomics, proteomics, microbiome, quantified self, and lifestyle data. Andrew oversaw the launch of multiple academic and industry collaborations leveraging this multi-omic platform, generating nearly $2M in revenue in the first several months of the platform’s launch and leading to the publication of several peer-reviewed scientific papers. As a member of Arivale\'s leadership team, Andrew participated in partnership discussions, fundraising efforts, and strategic planning for the company. Prior to joining Arivale, Andrew was a key member of Dr. Leroy Hood\'s team at the Institute for Systems Biology and co-first author on the Pioneer100 wellness pilot study published in Nature Biotechnology. Andrew‘s earlier work focused on disease classification algorithms, next-generation sequencing applications, and applied high-performance computing in computational drug discovery. Andrew received his PhD in Computational Biology and Biophysics from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
