I\'m not your typical developer. A true tech geek, I was in Silicon Valley designing telecom controller boards during the dot-com bubble In summer of 2001, I traveled to Asia on what was supposed to be a 1-year backpacking trip but ended up working in a patent firm in Taipei. I stayed for six years and was trained in US patent law. In 2009, I came back to Canada and used those skills to built a patent portfolio at a Canadian technology company. I then founded my own firm and was the sole patent agent there for over a decade.
