ABOUT ANDREW M. PAUL
Mr. Paul has been actively engaged in private equity and venture capital investing for more than 40 years, primarily in the healthcare industry. Mr. Paul spent 16 years at Welsh Carson Anderson & Stowe (\"WCAS\") where he was a Managing General Partner focused on healthcare investing. After retiring from WCAS, Mr. Paul focused his energies on investing in small capitalization companies. He is the Former Founder, CEO and Chairman of Enhanced Capital, a diversified, national asset manager that invests capital into small businesses, renewable energy projects, historic real estate rehabilitation and affordable housing projects through the federal and state incentive programs and other public policy investment strategies. Since its founding in ECP has raised over $2 billion of capital. In 2001, he founded Sopris Capital, as his family office/personal investing entity. Sopris Capital provides equity capital to four investment areas, including Venture Capital companies with promising entrepreneurs, typically in healthcare services and tech-enabled business services. Private Equity investing in any industry, Real Estate Investing and Special Situations. Sopris invests between $1 million and $30 million in the equity of companies in our areas of interest. He is also the former co-founder and managing partner of Enhanced Equity Funds, started in 2005, a private equity fund focused on buyouts and growth capital investments in lower middle-market companies in the healthcare industry. Andy received his B.A. from Cornell University in 1978 and his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1983. He is a Trustee and Chairman of the Board of Jas/Aspen,Trustee Emeritus of Cornell University, a Trustee of U.S. Ski and Snowboard, a Trustee of PGA Reach an organization to help disabled Veterans, minorities and children learn the game of golf. He is also on the foundation board for the US Naval Postgraduate School in Monterrey Ca working on advancing the careers and leadership skills of officers with at least ten years of experience in the Navy, Marines, Seal Team members and from other branches of the military.
