ABOUT ANDREW LOWES
Andrew is an experienced geotechnical / geostructural designer and project and design manager, a Chartered Civil Engineer and Registered Ground Engineering Specialist. His design, management and commercial proficiency has enabled him to assume extensive geotechnical design responsibilities in outline through to detailed design of shallow foundations, piles,(anchored/propped) retaining walls, ground improvement/reinforcement and slope stability and earthworks to BS, Eurocode (including seismic design) and other local/national standards. He is competent in analytical and numerical modelling.His competencies also include commercial and management abilities to lead and develop team members throughout design delivery. Project experience encompasses major and minor infrastructure (maritime, roads and rail) and renewable energy projects internationally, nationally and locally. He is also experienced in the management of ground investigations (GIs) and interpretative reporting.He is a keen STEM Ambassador and has also been a member of cross-borders steering groups on geotechnical finite element modelling (FEM) and parametric design.Chartered Civil Engineer (ICE), Registered Ground Engineering Specialist (RoGEP), Fellow of the Geological Society of London (FGS).
