ABOUT ANDREW LEVY

Experienced Group Legal Director/ General Counsel with a broad range of legal skills and wide knowledge of the transport, energy, renewables and engineering sectors. Responsibility for the Group compliance programme. Extensive experience in corporate/ commercial law, competition/anti-trust law, procurement law, compliance, data protection/ data privacy, arbitration, litigation and construction law. Track record of leadership, having built and managed a teams of lawyers across various jurisdictions. Wide international experience, including the US, France, Italy, Germany, Israel, Japan. Responsibilities include- building and maintaining strong board-level relationships and advising the board on key legal risks/ issues- establishing and maintaining good corporate governance and compliance as Chairman of the Group\'s Compliance Committee (issues including competition/ anti-trust; anti-bribery; data protection)- ensuring strong relationships with stakeholders, senior management at various operating companies and other support functions such as finance, tax, IT, communications- deal negotiation, structuring and execution- drafting, reviewing and negotiating key contracts- advising senior management on competition-law generally, including in the context of potential acquisitions and managing the merger control process with the competition authorities- advising on legal and regulatory developments in UK generally and, in the context of developing a new European business, in France, Germany and Italy- responsibility, as Data Protection Officer, for ensuring compliance with data protection/ GDPR- management of all aspects of high value litigation/ arbitration/ judicial review- managing legal budgets and external counsel
