About Andrew Leon
Drew Leon is an accomplished solar operations leader with 15 years of expertise in the utility solar industry. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Appropriate Technology from Appalachian State University and has earned his Associate Safety Professional (ASP) and Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certifications through the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP). Drew is also an OSHA General Industry 10 & 30 Hour Authorized Outreach Trainer, a Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (NFPA), and a Part 107 Remote Pilot (FAA). His technical credentials extend to medium-voltage systems, thermography, inverters, and a previously held NABCEP PV installer license. Drew’s career began with Strata Solar as a QC/QA Lead, where he contributed to the successful deployment of 500 MW of utility-scale solar projects. His expertise in commissioning and asset management led him to RadianGEN, where he managed another 500 MW of projects across North America, from Southern California to Northern Ontario. Drew then joined Cypress Creek Renewables as one of the company\'s first Plant Managers, overseeing a 75 MW utility-owned site and pioneering a transformer oil testing program, with a focus on substation safety and maintenance.In his current role as Director of Health & Safety at ACT Power Services, Drew is instrumental in advancing the company’s safety culture and operational excellence. He leads initiatives in safety training, onboarding, and regional expansion, positioning ACT Power Services as one of the top O&M providers in the United States.
