About Andrew Lee

I am a Mechanical Engineering student at Arizona State University and the Business Team Lead for Solar Devils, ASU’s competitive solar car team. In this role, I support our technical subteams by coordinating sponsorship outreach, developing relationships with corporate and community partners, and helping secure the financial and material resources needed for our program. I lead weekly team meetings, set priorities for our Outreach and Media divisions, and represent the organization in external conversations, planning efforts, and partnership discussions. My engineering experience focuses on hands-on design, fabrication, and user-centered problem solving. I have contributed to projects including a rock-climbing camming device, a smart medication-tracking system for seniors, and a solar-powered accessible transport vehicle. These projects strengthened my skills in CAD modeling, static analysis, prototyping, MATLAB-based performance testing, team coordination, and systems-level design. I enjoy working on projects where analytical thinking, experimentation, and iterative improvement come together to create functional and reliable solutions.Across leadership, academics, and project work, I have developed strengths in communication, organization, time management, and cross-functional collaboration. I value environments where technical engineering work connects with planning, outreach, and strategic decision making. My goal is to continue building experience that supports both engineering execution and the broader operations that allow teams to succeed.
