ABOUT ANDREW L.
I build narratives that help audiences connect to complex worlds—whether through the visual language of music videos or the analytical clarity of political journalism. As an award-winning creative director and commissioner, I\'ve spent 15 years crafting the visual output for dozens of artists including Dua Lipa, The Prodigy, Laura Marling, and Alt-J, working with major labels like Universal Music Group and BMG, and production houses like Biscuit Filmworks. My work has helped shape how millions of people experience music through visual storytelling. As the founder of The Mexico Brief, I lead an independent publication providing sharp political analysis and reporting on Mexico\'s evolving landscape. Headquartered in London with presence in Mexico City and Washington, DC, we serve policy professionals, investors, journalists, and anyone who understands that Mexico matters. Our contributors include veterans from The Washington Post, Financial Times, and Bloomberg. My background bridges creative and analytical thinking: I hold a Master\'s in Digital Documentary from the University of Sussex and a Master\'s in International Relations of the Americas from UCL. I\'ve also provided strategic communications consulting to political campaigns, including over 13 years working and volunteering with various Labour Party candidates on digital strategy and new media. What makes my perspective unique: I understand how stories shape culture and how culture shapes politics. I\'ve worked with politicians and pop stars, analyzed trade policy and directed music videos, built media platforms and commissioned creative work. This cross-pollination of expertise allows me to see connections others miss and tell stories that resonate across audiences.Currently: Commissioning creative projects, growing The Mexico Brief, and exploring opportunities at the intersection of media, culture, and international affairs.Let\'s connect if you\'re interested in:•Music video commissioning and creative direction•North American and British political analysis and insights•Strategic communications and storytelling•Digital publishing and media strategy•Cross-cultural creative projects
