Recent/Current projects Associate School Improvement Learning Partner - Kirklees LAInterim Headteacher of Key Stage 3 and 4 Alternative Provision as part of a large FE College. Leading all areas of school improvement, leadership and management, quality of education and personal development, behaviour and attitudes. Coaching, mentoring, supervision and school improvement support for Head Teachers and senior leaders across both specialist and mainstream settings.Various inclusion and school improvement reviews for local and regional MATs, schools and local authorities.Commissioned to conduct a viability review into alternative provision and SEND capacity with the aim of establishing new provision to meet local need – Sept to Dec 2021. Associate Consultant for national organisation with a focus on inclusion, behaviour, school improvement, leadership, alternative provision and SEND.I have spent the past 8 years as Headteacher, Executive Headteacher and Director of Education for Pivot Group, a group of independent alternative provision and SEMH schools across Key Stages 1-5 in the North of England. As a company director, I was instrumental in the initial set up, rapid growth and success of the company and in creating a high quality academic and personal development offer for young people. My role included strategic leadership, securing good OFSTED outcomes across all schools, continuous school improvement, recruitment and staff development and quality assurance. I was also a key part of establishing the company as a leading provider of a wide range of educational support services locally, regionally and nationally to both mainstream and SEND/AP settings. As a result of this I have extensive consultancy experience and have worked with numerous schools, multi academy trusts, local authorities and local government to gain results in academic and pastoral attainment, change management and school improvement. My experience includes teaching, leadership and advisory roles in both mainstream and SEND/SEMH settings across Key Stages 1-5 and working with partners on commissioning, new and innovative alternative provision models and strategic growth leading to improved outcomes. This wide-ranging experience has given me an in depth understanding of the challenges faced in all settings and provides me with expertise when advising on inclusion, SEND and alternative provision. My passion is helping organisations achieve equitable, aspirational and high quality educational provision to ensure better outcomes for people.
