This is a hybrid part-time job during the school year but ramps up to a full time 40 hour a week job during the summer. This is a job that requires me to manage my own time in a responsible and caretaken way. This job required me to use my experience planning activities for children ages 5-15 with the ability to problem-solve under pressure and manage conflict. This really had me tap into my own understandings of youth development and help me gain more of an understanding of staff management and scheduling. Some of my more duties and responsibilities for the preparation of this summer program started in November of 2024. I led the summer planning of the program which included daily and weekly plans from June-August, as well as having a large involvement in the hiring process of the camp staff and implementing training using my experience dealing with the risk management of minors. Overall I supervised, disciplined, and evaluated not just the camp staff, but the minors participating in the program.
