ABOUT ANDREW JAMES

I lead Accenture\'s global talent strategy across our five businesses and markets as part of our HR Executive Committee and Global Leadership Council. The purpose of my role is to understand the key emerging trends that we face as a business (e.g. technology, social, demographic etc); how they will impact our people and devise new workforce strategies and programs that ensure we remain relevant, competitive and worthy of attracting and retaining the best people in our industry. This has led to some interesting enterprise-wide programs that I have helped to ignite and architect (e.g. Leadership Careers; Careers at Accenture; Consulting Transformation; Human Capital Assessment etc). I joined Accenture in 1998 and learned my trade by working with clients for ten years as a management consultant in the arena of talent and organisation performance. I have a degree in Psychology (University of Bristol) and a masters in Organisational Psychology (Manchester Business School). I am a big believer in the power of analytics to bring us new insights about ourselves and the changing environment in which we work and embracing new, agile ways of working in HR. I am focused on making our company a better place to work every day.I live in Manchester in the UK with my wife, Susan and two daughters, Ruby and Darcy. I am a keen cricketer and am proud to have represented Cheshire, Lancashire and Gloucestershire at senior levels and England at school and university level and enjoy coaching the next generation at my local club.
