Capwell is a hard tech, climate focused company dedicated to curbing methane emissions from the oil and gas industry. The initial segment that we are focusing on are abandoned and orphaned wells. Abandoned oil and gas wells emit 290 kilotons of methane every year. Methane is a major issue as it is 86x more potent than CO2 as a greenhouse gas. As a result, 3% of the US\'s total greenhouse gas emissions came from these abandoned wells. Capwell has developed a surface level solution to contain and destroy these emissions in a quicker, more cost efficient, and versatile way than the traditional antiquated solutions.
