About Andrew Issa
In Lebanon, meals are communal, portions are family sized, and everything is made to share. Hospitality has always been the most important ingredient in a Lebanese kitchen with pita bread following in a close second. Cooks began to get creative with the many ways pita bread was served in their daily meals. Many prepared pita bread by toasting it over a flame to keep it crisped to perfection when added to traditional salads. Now that’s thinking outside the pocket. With this history in mind, the Issa family established Cedars Bakery & Deli. This Buffalo favorite been family-owned and operated since the beginning.
