ABOUT ANDREW HUSAR
Mr. Andrew T. Husar is the retired Emergency Response Director for the Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Panama City, Florida. In this role, Director Husar advises the Sheriff on all emergency management and communications matters. He is currently on the Board of ‘Directors for the Emerald Coast Healthcare Coalition, which comprises public safety and public health partners with a mission to make communities resilient with a coordinated whole-community response. Director Husar has been recognized by the Bay County Chamber of Commerce for his contributions to public safety and the Bay County Law Enforcement Assistance Foundation for his unwavering commitment to DUI enforcement. Mr. Husar earned a Master of Science in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from Grand Canyon University and is pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Development from Grand Canyon University. His long-term research goals include understanding emergency management leadership models and the shortfalls identified post-disaster in furtherance of the research interests. Mr. Husar’s long-term goal is to attain a teaching position at the university level to help guide future emergency managers in the whole community approach and resilience.
