Responsible for Sainsbury’s compliance with Right to Work & Criminal Record Checks legislation and ensuring processes are completed in a timely and accurate manner. I manage a team of Immigration Specialists who complete case work and guiding Line Managers on the execution of Right to Work procedures. My team also process skilled worker visa application for sponsored candidates and colleagues. As the SME for Right to Work & Criminal Record Checks for Sainsbury’s, I am the primary contact point with the Home Office to keep up to date with changes in legislation and translate how these changes need to be reflected within the business. I also have oversight for Assurance and Audit activities across the HR Service Centre including in house and outsourced teams. This includes monitoring the service outputs through a control framework to ensure adherence to key metrics. I am the Deputy Colleague Data Owner ensuring rigorous governance controls on colleagues data usage including representing HR at the companies Data Clinic and advocating good practise in the usage of colleague data. I also chair the Leavers Governance Forum. Lastly I act as audit liaison for all fieldwork activities.
