ABOUT ANDREW HOISINGTON
Currently leading a team at the Rocky Mountain Mental Illness Research Education and Clinical Center (MIRECC) for Suicide Prevention. We investigate relationships between biological responses and mental health outcomes to attempt to improve better understand and improve life trajectories of Veterans and thier families. Research interests includes indoor air and microbial relationships, connections between microbiome of the built environment and mental health, and associations between the built environment and mental health outcomes. Founding member and principal investigator for Military and Veteran Microbiome Consortium for Research and Education. Retired as a LtCol in the US Air Force after serving 21 years including six year teaching undergraduates at the AF Academy and three years teaching masters level students at the Air Force Institute of Technology
