Assisting Dr. Charles Rivasplata and Dr. Richard Lee who are principal investigators (PIs) on a research project aimed at improving transit experience and infrastructure. The goal of the project is to encourage cities and counties to adopt and implement planning and design policies that incorporate appropriate public transit elements in every street redesign or new design project in California.Conduct research to identify and evaluate individual city and county “complete street” policies todetermine whether and how they have included transit elements into said policies. The project will thenevaluate a select number of actual built projects to determine:(a) If they conform to their own policieswith respect to transit elements(b) to assess what more they could have done to incorporate transitelements.

Currently enrolled in a Masters of Urban and Regional Planning degree at San Jose State University with a deep passion for public transit, transit-oriented development (TOD), and transportation planning. I am currently a research associate at the Mineta Transportation Institute, looking at improving transit experience and infrastructure.
