Licensed Illinois Professional Engineer specializing in Mechanical Systems Design and MaterialsAs a Project Engineer with Great Lakes Dredge and Dock, I am responsible for maintaining dredging equipment and new Capital Projects in excess of 5M both here and abroad.This Includes: • Identify work scope of projects • Schedule a project based on current resources • Manage outside engineering firms • See projects through the regulatory body approval process • Review and approve drawings • Pre-inspect equipment to prove design installation and identify potential design and installation problems • Write specifications • Develop and maintain detailed budgets and schedules • Obtain prices and schedules from shipyards and fabricators • Oversee shipyard fabrications and installations when required • Use the SafeNet (NS5) system to purchase, track and record all equipment projects • Work with Fleet Accountant for capital budgeting and reporting
