Develops and executes strategic fundraising initiatives that help Goodwill secure major gifts and build long-term relationships to institutionalize philanthropy and fund development within the organization. Responsible for helping Goodwill establish and identify as a mission-driven nonprofit organization that is supported by donor gifts. Responsible for the management of Goodwill’s overall portfolio of gift requests. Establishes a fund development strategy to proactively identify, cultivate, solicit, close and steward a portfolio of major donors to strengthen and diversify funding sources for Goodwill. Responsible for working with Goodwill’s executive leadership staff and Board of Directors to effectively promote the organization’s mission, goals and accomplishments to donors, prospective donors and the broader community. Builds relationships with prospective donors through visits, events, correspondence and regular calls. Establishes short and long-term performance measures, monitor results and helps Goodwill’s executive leadership staff evaluate the effectiveness of Goodwill’s fund development plan. Ensures ethical and appropriate financial administration of contributed income, including overseeing the donor and prospect records, and following all regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact donations.
